Dr. Joshua Helman, MD is an Emergency Medicine physician licensed in fourteen states. “Dr. Josh” has two degrees in biochemistry, (bachelor’s from Harvard magna cum laude and master’s from the University of Cambridge, UK). His dual medical degree is from Harvard Medical School and MIT and he is board-certified by both the American Board of Emergency Medicine and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr. Josh is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and developments in emergency medicine and lifestyle medicine. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
He has training in neurotoxicity, Lyme disease, petrochemical and mold toxicity. He has served as an attending physician throughout his career and was formerly the medical director for Hippocrates Health Institute and worked at the TrueNorth Health Center for several years with a focus on fasting. His areas of interest include vitality, longevity, toxins, exosomes, biofilm, chronic neurologic diseases, mold, Lyme disease and fasting. He is passionate about applying his biochemical knowledge to real-world challenges. As a plant-based physician, he embraces an integrative approach including the importance of diet and lifestyle for optimal health. In his free time, he likes to exercise, travel and hike, and is also an avid reader and enjoys learning about history, science and philosophy.
